A Tillery Street plant expert will be there to guide you in choosing the right plant for you, and Bethany, the founder of The Aquariust, will walk you through step-by-step instruction of perfect-for-beginners macramé techniques + you will make your very own art piece to take home.

In this workshop you will:

-Be guided by makers of The Aquariust to learn the Square Knot, Alternating Square Knot, Spiral Knot, Wrap Knot, + put these all together to create a macramé plant hanger!

-Have all materials provided for you (plant, pot, macramé materials, snacks, etc.)

Saturday January 27th at noon we'll be gathering at Tillery Street Plant Co in East Austin to learn how to take care of our plant babies! 

GM Lindsey Mayer and Houseplant Manager Melissa Hagen from Tillery will be dropping knowledge on how to keep plants alive + choose a plant that is good for certain types of light so that you can find the perfect plant for your space and your life!! 

JuiceLand will provide juice and treats to keep our bellies full of nutrient-packed-health-goodness! 

BANGS Shoes will be raffling off one pair of Forest Green Adventure High Tops. The sisters behind the socially-conscious-adventure-footwear-brand will be there sharing their story, absorbing plant knowledge and drinking juice!

Join Compost Coalition's Joseph M. de Leon for a composting basics at Tillery Street Plant Company. This free class will cover different composting systems, what to compost and how to keep your compost (and you) happy. Plus you will qualify for the City of Austin compost voucher and a kitchen compost pail, while supplies last.

Joseph has been a Compost Coalition activist for more than four years. Along with general composting, he also brings his experience with pet poo composting and composting with chickens.
